My journey with sport started when I was about 14 years old. I fell in love with track and field and went on to compete for over 10 years in shot put, discus and hammer throw – setting multiple high school and city records. I continued to compete throughout University on scholarship, but started to struggle with my performance. In my second year of University my health was a bit up and down and I experienced a lot of alarming symptoms like chronic fatigue and hair loss. I was diagnosed with PCOS soon after.
Once graduated from University I continued on with my athletic career by representing Team Canada as a bobsleigh brake woman in 2019. Unfortunately due to health issues and a surgery I had to take time from sport. I did a deep dive into my health and worked on addressing the root cause of my PCOS, which is when I discovered CanPrev. Taking a holistic approach to my health changed my life and I’m so happy to say that I no longer struggle with PCOS and was able to return to competing in sport at a professional level. I competed on the world stage for Team Canada for several years before changing nations to create the Spanish bobsleigh team and compete as a pilot. My mission is to create more opportunities for women in sport, while also being an advocate for women’s health.
I aspire to qualify for the 2026 Olympic Games where I will be the first woman to represent Spain in bobsleigh. I am also back in school studying Holistic Nutrition and hope to have a career helping female athletes maintain healthy hormonal balance and fuel optimally.
