Matcha Hot Chocolate

Try a warm cup (or two!) of this Matcha Hot Chocolate recipe, featuring CanPrev’s Collagen Bone powder. With every sip, you’ll not only be drinking in tasty chocolate-y goodness, but also supporting strong bones.

Ingredients
Hot Chocolate Layer
- ½ cup coconut cream or heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
Milk Layer
- 1½ cups milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
Matcha Layer
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1½ teaspoons matcha powder
- 2 scoops Collagen Bone powder
Directions
- Prepare the chocolate layer by heating the cream in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Once steaming, add in the chocolate chips and stir until they are melted. Divide the mixture between two mugs.
- Next, add your milk of choice to a milk frother along with the vanilla (alternatively, you can warm the milk first and use a handheld frother) and steam until a thick layer of foam is formed. Carefully divide the frothed milk between the two glasses using a spoon so as not to disturb the chocolate layer.
- For the matcha layer, whisk together the milk, matcha powder and collagen until smooth and pour this mixture directly into the milk frother. Steam until a thick layer of foam forms. Carefully divide the matcha layer between the two mugs using a spoon.
- Garnish with shaved dark chocolate and serve!
