Fire Vitamin Cider

Springtime calls for embracing some much-needed sunshine, but it also brings with it allergies and colds. Support your body to fully enjoy the more inviting temperatures with this Fire Vitamin Cider.

Fire cider is packed with the power of fruits, herbs, roots, spices, and some extra vitamin C! CanPrev’s Liposomal Vitamin C provides a nutritional and flavour boost to this incredible tonic, helping to protect against cell damage while promoting immune function and wound healing!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh horseradish, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup ginger root, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh turmeric, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh mint
  • 1 red or yellow onion, roughly chopped
  • 5-10 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 lemons, peeled and sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 to 2 jalapeno or serrano peppers, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons peppercorns
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 to 2 star anise
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme or rosemary, or both
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Liposomal Vitamin C

Directions

  1. Sterilize your jar to prepare for use.
  2. Add all of the dry ingredients to the jar. Pour in enough apple cider vinegar to completely cover all ingredients. Press them down if needed, especially the herbs.
  3. Seal the jar, shake it well, and keep it somewhere dark and cool for two to four weeks, shaking the jar at least once every few days or every day.
  4. After at least 2 weeks, strain the liquid out of the jar. Try and squeeze out as much of the liquid as you can from the ingredients, especially the citrus.
  5. Stir in CanPrev’s Liposomal Vitamin C to taste.
  6. Store in a jar in the fridge, and enjoy a shot of wellness every day.
