Chocolate Salami

Bite into this rich, no-bake, Chocolate Salami, loaded with crunchy vanilla wafers, chunky nuts and chocolate that melts in your mouth.

What makes this recipe unique is the addition of protein, and CanPrev’s Myo-Inositol powder, which helps promote healthy blood sugar metabolism. It helps soothe sugar cravings, while providing plenty of antioxidants, minerals, and healthy fats. Want a nut-free option? Swap in your favourite seeds instead!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
  • cup pistachios, chopped
  • cup walnuts, chopped
  • cup hazelnuts, chopped
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 6 scoops Myo-Inositol powder

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Whisk in butter and cream. The warm chocolate mixture will melt the butter to form a silky chocolate ganache.
  3. Fold in protein powder and Myo-Inositol, until the mixture is smooth and incorporated.
  4. Fold vanilla wafers and nuts into the chocolate mixture.
  5. Transfer the chocolate salami mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and roll it up tightly into the shape of a sausage. Tie both ends of the plastic wrap and freeze for about 1 – 2 hours, or overnight until solid.
  6. Remove from freezer and allow to thaw for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage Instructions: Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and in the freezer for up to 6 weeks.
