People would often come up to me to tell me that I “looked strong” and that I “must lift a lot of weights” or to ask me if I was a bodybuilder, and I would tell them, “Thank you, but I actually don’t lift weights at all.” My physique and strength had developed from the different sports I was involved in, like gymnastics and track and field. It did make me wonder if maybe I should consider doing a strength sport, and so I walked into a weightlifting gym one day. I loved it, and I started competing just a few months later. I’ve won multiple provincial and national championships since then, and I’ve been selected to be on Team Canada for multiple international competitions.
I think that to compete with the very best, you have to take every aspect of your sport seriously – not just hard training in the gym, but things like getting enough sleep, and proper diet and supplementation. Before getting into weightlifting, I had never taken any type of supplement, not even basic stuff like Vitamin C! When I decided to get more serious about my recovery it took my results to completely different level. CanPrev definitely helped make that happen! Whenever I can, I love to get away at a spa village – the type of place where you can get a really good massage, but where you also get to enjoy a steam bath, a sauna, and some good food! I like to recover in style!
Formulas I reach for...
I feel like I drink this stuff during every stage of my training – before, during, and after. I'm somebody that sometimes struggles to eat as much food as I need to in order to recover. So when I take MuscleRescue before I start training, I'm giving my muscles what they need before a heavy session. I drink it again during training, in between sets, to help keep me going. After I'm done training, it helps start my recovery for the next session. And last but not least – the flavors are really good!

Besides being somebody that really likes fruity-flavored supplement drinks, I also prefer drinks over capsules whenever possible. So Omega Twist is the only way to take fish oil as far as I'm concerned! I think Omega-3s are so important,and because you'd have to eat a ton of fish to get what's in one tablespoon of Omega Twist, I'll take Omega Twist please! There's a lot of evidence that Omega-3s are important for your cholesterol levels, your brain health, and your joints – so I think that everyone, if you're not already taking some, you should!
