In 2018, I was still in university and playing ringette on Team Canada, but I felt like I was capable of more. After seeing a TV ad for RBC Training Ground, I attended the open tryouts and was recruited by Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton (BCS). I never considered myself an “adrenaline junkie” I promised myself to keep saying “YES” to the opportunities until it felt like a definite “NO”.
After my first camp with BCS, I felt at home in a place where my aspirations for “more” were celebrated. I took my first bobsleigh run ever as a driver, crashed, and got right back in. Now, after 4 season with BCS, I’m still saying “YES” to big scary opportunities.
