Social Media Coordinator / Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Due to current COVID-19 guidelines, this position is 100% remote/work from home until further notice. Office location is in Toronto, Ontario.

General Summary

We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator – are you up for the task?

Who are you?
You are an outgoing and keen conversationalist with a solid understanding of social media platforms. You participate in many different social networks; you also preferably blog and know how to find and gain followers and engage with other users. You thrive on working with others, drawing out their insights and perspectives, and sharing learnings that make for a more informed and more effective team.

In this role, you may also interact directly with the general public; you will need to be comfortable talking to people, and espouse the company’s values while being professional, friendly and open.

Position Detail: Essential responsibilities

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, and working with a team of designers and developers, your strengths lie in the areas of:

Desired Skills & Experience

You’ll be called upon to:

  • Engage with our communities across various platforms – monitoring, listening to and initiating conversations across many different platforms and channels
  • Help create, follow and maintain a social media schedule/calendar
  • Craft and post compelling, targeted, brand-specific content to our demographics
  • Curate timely, engaging content optimized for platform and audience
  • Write and edit various content offerings including blogs, articles and a variety of collateral

We are growing, and we are looking for someone who can dive right in and make a splash. You also:

  • Are a strong communicator, online, in words and in person
  • Love natural products and enjoy finding new ways to improve your health. You monitor your health as closely as you monitor your followers!
  • Are organized, helpful and not afraid to take/show initiative
  • Have one to three years experience working in digital communications and/or social media
  • Possess authentic, unbridled passion for digital marketing and customer engagement
  • Knowledgeable about content management systems, social media platforms and social media management software (such as Hootsuite)
  • Holistic nutrition background an asset
  • SEO and PPC experience an asset
